Zeke caught his first saltwater fish in Boca Grande at the age of four in 1972. He would vacation there each year with his family and eventually moved to Boca Grande in 1992, after spending a year in Colorado. It was in Colorado that the passion for fly fishing developed. The first fly cast he made in saltwater resulted in a 125 pound Tarpon. This is where the obsession began. Spending a great deal of time on the water, he quickly began honing his skills saltwater flyfishing. He obtained his captain’s license in 1995 and began a career in guiding. In 1997 Zeke, along with his wife, Tory, opened Boca Grande Outfitters. In the fall and winter, Zeke specializes in sight casting to Redfish and Snook. During the spring and summer, he leads customers to giant Tarpon that migrate to Boca Grande each year. He has put in the time and mastered the techniques needed to do battle with the Silver King. Zeke has been a frequent guest on Flip Pallot’s television show, The Walkers Cay Chronicles. As a member of the Scott Fly Rod Florida Prostaff since 1997, Zeke plays an integral role in the design and development of Scott’s saltwater flyrods. He is an innovative fly tyer and patient instructor. He truly enjoys what he does and his enthusiasm for the sport spills over to his clients.

Dear Zeke,
“Thanks for a wonderful 3 ½ days fishing. If your anglers had more talent we would have landed 15/20 Tarpon. However, it is what it is, and in our eyes it was terrific.
I don’t think I have ever had so much fun and laughed so hard at our screw ups. I also have never seen or hooked so many Tarpon. Zeke, you are a very patient man and a tribute to your profession.
I enjoyed being with you.”
